Summary/Objective: The RQS assists Customer Quality will all activities related to containment and determining root cause and corrective actions for customer quality issues.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and communicating with customers directly for general quality issues.
- Receiving, recording, and/or identifying customer samples and forwarding to the appropriate CQE.
- Supporting sorting work for products under quality risk both at the customer site, at a 3rd party, or in-house sorting.
- Replying to customers regarding documents, specifications, policies, including sharing drawings, confirming a dimension, providing an inspect report, and other requests for information.
- Handling customer inquiries about product certifications like RoHS, Reach, and UL.
- Work would be completed with the instruction and co-operation of the other members of the Customer Quality organization.
- Adhere to all corporate quality standards
- Responsible for the proper priority and timely management of tasks. While management may provide the priority and due dates, the person in this role must be able to assign due dates and understand priority on their own. They are responsible for communicating with management on the status of their work.

Required Experience
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Preferred to have 3 years experience in a customer facing or quality role
- Excellent interpersonal skills in relating to both internal and external customers.
- Proficient is MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in Samtec manufacturing preferred
- Experience in or a basic understanding of statistics is preferred
- Experience with problem solving and analysis preferred
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills for tracking projects
- Willing to travel to customers, Samtec facilities, or 3rd party suppliers as needed
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Education
- High school diploma required, secondary education preferred
Training required
- On the job training as appropriate.
